Notice of Intent- The notice of intent for the bridge is complete. The Conservation Commission should hear the project in December.
Americorps:
Americorps is developing a pilot project in Eastham combining management with community involvement. The Open Space Committee would develop a “wish list” of projects such as trail clearing, invasive removal, bench building etc. Americorps would commit a group one day a month with a service agreement and would look for community involvement in performing the tasks. The wish list needs to be prioritized and should include some indoor tasks as well. Discussion ensued with respect to potential “wish list” items such as clearing Nickerson trails, vista pruning at the Hatch property, clearing a new loop trail at the Aschettino property and signage for the parks.
